Pioneer cdj-350

After the launch of the new cdj-2000/900s from pioneer it is only fitting they included a more entry level / affordable cdj to the line and it seems they have come up with this little number. The main features that put a smile on my face was the usb connectivity and the record box software compatibility which is still in its early stages so improvements will still be made. Apart from that side by side to the 900 or 2000 it seems like something you might buy from kmart, But none the less it contains more than enough features for a beginner to intermediate dj to do there job. still little is known about the cdj-350 and i dont want anyone jumping to conclusions that this is a good or bad piece of hardware so keep an eye out for a full release review from me when the time comes. Anvil

Just finished watching a documentary on the band from the 80s anvil one of the bands the wore part part of the original thrash metal movement and got left behind and still 30 years later still going hard. midipad iPad multitouch

I think every one know's my feelings for the new apple ipad which i wrote on a cranky day but i did write the review on my music orientated blog for a good reason and this is one of them. As far as i can gather this is a network midi touch screen controller so you can run this with dj apps on you pc or mac and control them from you ipad.the midipad app for the ipad has been designed with 4 interfaces a dj interface a launch view interface a studio interface and a fx interface . The dj interface is setup like a simple midi cj controller with two jog wheels 3 eqs a crossfader ,2 volume faders and a few fx knobs . look wise this interface is not much to look at just a collection of squares and circles but on the other hand elegantly simple. and for the launch view its the same sort of style but used for launching audio clips there is still not much known about this app so keep an eye out on there website as this could be a fun toy to play with.

Pionner Djm-2000

Pioneer never fails to upset me, the over priced marketing giants pioneer have realesed a mixer to suit there new cdj-2000/900 range .but have they gone too far? these things don't even look like DJ mixers anymore instead they look like the dash board for the millennium falcon. but dont get me wrong i love my technology and i will as always give pioneer a graceful well done.
just look at the sheer size of this i thought the cdj-2000s where big enouph but now with an extra 8.5 KG of pioneer mixer technology you gotta have alot of cash, alot of deskspace and alot of free time to figure out all the features on this badboy. so they have labeled this mixer as " the world’s most complete and creative DJ mixer" which is most likely true but the features i am most fond of is the connectivity with the cdj-2000 ,two laptops can be connected, 4 cdjs can be linked to same audio source .This thing includes an eq for each effect ,frequency fader's a 5.8 inch screen ,finally bar loops,12 effects, separate lfo filters for every channel ,curve settings, midi settings , bpm counters , a live sampler . i think you get the point this thing is not for the faint harted! to be honest this really is a master piece of technology but most likely a mixer that just simply is not needed .this is probably more advanced than the equipment n.a.s.a. owns .this equipment will not improve your dj skills it will probably just make you look like a rich ass hole. i don't know the price tag and i don't want to nice try pioneer you have accomplished making the worlds most advanced mixer but have once again failed to incorporate the heart and soul of musical creativity.

I was having a browse around today hoping to find some vst's and samples to help me make some futuristic space horror dub step when i came across the camel audio site which when i started reading about the vst's and samples the provided i thought this stuff might just be what im looking for. with some very good reviews i think i will give it a go and i will post the track i make if it is successful .

The Rane Sixty-Eight Mixer Preview

This is the hardware i have been waiting for , The rane sixty-eight is the pinnacle of dj technology today. At first glance this mixer looks very overwhelming with it bright green ,blue and orange buttons, But once you start looking into the its features this mixer couldn't be any more simply laid out. The top features i found with this mixer is its built in serato and if you didn't know this is not just any serato but serato 2.0 which features 6 different effects, loops and up to 4 deck compatibility on up to 2 computers!!! not only that this mixer includes multiple headphone ports so you can have two djs working for the same mixer on two computer but syncing all from the same audio source. But dont get me wrong this is still a fully pledged analoge mixer so if serato is not your thing than this is still gonna be a top competitor on the analog mixer market ,with all the bells and whistles rane will always gets it right.
