After the launch of the new cdj-2000/900s from pioneer it is only fitting they included a more entry level / affordable cdj to the line and it seems they have come up with this little number. The main features that put a smile on my face was the usb connectivity and the record box software compatibility which is still in its early stages so improvements will still be made. Apart from that side by side to the 900 or 2000 it seems like something you might buy from kmart, But none the less it contains more than enough features for a beginner to intermediate dj to do there job. still little is known about the cdj-350 and i dont want anyone jumping to conclusions that this is a good or bad piece of hardware so keep an eye out for a full release review from me when the time comes. I think every one know's my feelings for the new apple ipad which i wrote on a cranky day but i did write the review on my music orientated blog for a good reason and this is one of them. As far as i can gather this is a network midi touch screen controller so you can run this with dj apps on you pc or mac and control them from you ipad.the midipad app for the ipad has been designed with 4 interfaces a dj interface a launch view interface a studio interface and a fx interface . The dj interface is setup like a simple midi cj controller with two jog wheels 3 eqs a crossfader ,2 volume faders and a few fx knobs . look wise this interface is not much to look at just a collection of squares and circles but on the other hand elegantly simple. and for the launch view its the same sort of style but used for launching audio clips there is still not much known about this app so keep an eye out on there website as this could be a fun toy to play with.
